Hey, you know, ladies and gentlemen, when I prepared to do this show, I have to decide something.

Not only the priority of the issues I want to discuss, and sometimes that'll change on a dime right before the show begins.

But whether I want to deal with issues that are more scholarly and intellectual, or whether I want to deal with what the press is feeding us,

what rioters are feeding us, and so forth.

And so we move with a lot of agility in this program dealing with both, or all, I should say.

Did you know a Senate office building is named after Richard Russell, who was a segregationist?

Shouldn't they change the name of the Russell office building?

Do you know there's literally hundreds of monuments? And by that, I mean taxpayer funded highways, byways, tunnels, buildings,

named after Robert Bird. It was a Klansman, a Democrat leader in the Senate.

Shouldn't his name be Sam blasted off these places?

I mean, if we're serious about this, we need to do it. But that's not what I want to talk about.

I want you to take out your notebooks and your pens, and maybe raise the volume on your radio,

because we're going to talk about something that's a little heavy that isn't talked about on sports radio,

on music stations, on cable stations, or any of the rest of it.

And yet this is not an abstraction when we discuss what I want to discuss, this word liberty, it's everything.
