We start today's program, sadly, talking about the passing of Bernal View Nation, why I know him from the IMAs program.

In it around New York City, many of you know him from WABC where he did a morning show and did a morning show.

There were great two of them in the morning and WABC.

Bernie and I were buddies. I don't mean social buddies. I don't mean that we went out. I don't mean that we called every day.

But we were buddies. We shared the same philosophy, kind of the same weird humor.

We didn't take any enemies. He was a really, really smart guy, but kind, extremely kind.

He would call me before I go on IMAs. IMAs would like many come on from time to time, actually often.

He would say heads up, you know, he's going to do this. He's going to talk about that. I said, okay, and that's cool.

And he was very loyal, extremely loyal. And I wish more of you around the country could have heard his morning show, because he was just fantastic.

About three or four weeks ago, if you ever take, I tried to call him on his cell phone, which I almost never did. And there was no answer.

And there was no voicemail. And I knew there was a big problem at that point.

But he will be remembered as one of the greats of radio. And one of the great people, the kindest decent people you can meet in this business.

And those of you who may have met him outside this business know exactly what I'm talking about.

So I want to wish Bernie's family and friends my deepest sympathies. And I want to say rest in peace, my brother.

None of us make it out of here alive. One way or another, one age or another, one illness or disease or another, one crime or another.

We just don't make it out of here, not alive.
