You know, we spent a lot of time yesterday talking about Mulvaney's press conference.

And I explained then at the third point Mulvaney raised that is the probe or the investigation of the 2016 efforts in Ukraine to interfere with the presidential election was perfectly legitimate.

I said Mulvaney shouldn't run from it. The president's lawyer shouldn't run from it. Republicans on Capitol Hill shouldn't run from it.

It's a public fact that the attorney general of the United States and the US attorney from Connecticut are pursuing this and looking into this.

It's a public fact that the Ukrainians attempted to sabotage the Trump campaign in the peace January 11, 2017 in the political website.

A very hostile website toward the president of the United States, but nonetheless.

And that critical paragraph in that story, Ukraine government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump publicly questioning his fitness for office.

They also disseminated documents implying top Trump aid and corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter only to back away after the election.

And they helped Clinton allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisors, a political investigation found and he goes on.

For many, many pages as I printed it out.

And so Mulvaney pulled back, he said, no, no, there was no quid pro quo that didn't actually come up.

I'm telling you it doesn't matter if it did come up and even though Adam Schiff is seizing on it, it's not a quid pro quo.

Something for something in the criminal justice sense.

Now the president and his lawyers say that's not what happened. That's fine.
