3:04.0 | We have six justices already that have indicated they're likely to uphold the rest of it. |
3:10.0 | Now, why? Because they like it? Because they believe in the policy? Because they think it's such a wonderful law? |
3:17.0 | Because there's a judicial term called severability. |
3:24.0 | Judges, particularly Supreme Court justices, if they can uphold a law, they'll uphold it, if they feel it's constitutional. |
3:34.0 | With the individual mandate now gone, that's been severed from the rest of the law. |
3:43.0 | So the rest of the law is likely to stand. And six justices have inferred, at least, that that's their intention. |
