I watch the news barely, because I like to digest my food.

And it amazes me, you know, when the Republicans have 53 senators, and the Democrats have 45 plus two additional nut jobs, this guy Angus King, and then Bernie Sanders.

Basically, with 47 members, they're able to run circles around the Republicans in the Senate.

Pretty much. Can stop virtually anything they want to do.

Yet here it is 50, 50, and the Republicans go begging over the filibuster.

There are things the Republicans can do. I'm not a parliamentary expert, but force Kamala Harris to spend the rest of her vice presidential career sitting in the US Senate as president of the Senate, breaking tie votes all the time.

I'm forced to do it. Don't agree to any arrangement on 50, 50. If Schumer doesn't want to budge on the filibuster, that's the nuclear weapon.

They don't give them anything. Nothing. Zero.

Rubber stamping one nominee after another for Biden. They didn't do that for Trump. The Republicans have parliamentary tools, but they won't use them because they're cowards.

The Senate leadership, full of cowards. Oh, they're very strong when they're going after the ex president. Very strong when they're going after the tea party.

Very strong. We're going after Trump supporters and conservatives. Oh, yeah, yeah. Very strong on that.

But when it comes to challenging Schumer and his thugs, not so much, not too smart. It's time for new Republican leadership in the United States Senate.

It's that simple.

Now, as for this trial that's going to take place, anybody who thinks a trial is constitutional against a private citizen really is a moron. I don't care if they walk around with federalist society paper hats.

I don't care if they walk around with NR emblazoned on their shirts.

Moreronic in every respect and dangerous. Dangerous because now if the purpose of impeachment and trial is to prevent somebody who's now in the private sector from ever running for office again, that's a completely different tool now, the impeachment tool completely different than what was intended.
