Fantastic. How are you, Mark Simone?

Well, I don't know. I'm all confused. There's a government shutdown. How will I get through

the day? I don't know what to do.

No, I know. Well, whenever there's a government shutdown, we get a lot of sob stories from the Democrats, and it will invariably be blamed on Republicans. You know, and I worked for the Senate back in the 90s with Clinton, Clinton would shut it down. He would veto our bills and Republicans get blamed. When it's the reverse, you've

got a Republican president and it's loaded into Democratic Congress that they do control things.

They shut it down. It gets blamed on the Republicans. And I suppose that's because they know

that secretly Republicans would all like to shut down all of government, and I can't say they're wrong.

No. December, 2018, we had a 35-day shutdown. Do you think anybody remembers it? Anybody?

No, no. The most annoying thing is we have to hear about, oh, these poor federal workers, well, they get a free vacation.

They're going to get paid.

It's never happened that government workers don't get back paid during a government shutdown.

Never, ever, ever, ever.

So, I mean, this idea that, oh, these poor government workers, not that they work all

that much, even when they are, quote, working, but they're really not working now. Yeah. So,

yeah, it'll get settled pretty soon. Hey, I do like Trump's idea of just saying, okay, well, just
