Hello from Washington, I'm Chuck Todd, cast. My guest today is Mark Cuban. And if you know anything about Mark Cuban, you know he wears a lot of hats. He's a minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

A fixture on Shark Tank, both of C and B.C. and ABC these days.

And he's also been on the campaign trail this year more aggressively than ever

speaking on behalf of Kamala Harris. But I wanted to talk to him because of his new venture,

the Cost Plus Drug Company, which he started in 2022 with the goal of lowering generic drug prices.

It's a fascinating conversation.

I think you'll appreciate hearing how he thinks about the health care industry.

We didn't just stick to health care.

We did talk a little politics. His potential future in politics. Talked a little sports, talked a little business, talked a little tariffs, you name it.

we're in a place in this presidential election where I'm saying I'm not sure we need any more data

and I say this because even if you get more data that says something that you haven't

seen before it's going to be hard to believe it feels like we are all sort of prepared for what is going to be a

super close election decided on the margins. But I will say this, just be aware of

a few things. One is I do think outside events continue to

potentially have an impact here and they could have an outsized impact from

limiting who shows up to vote. Think about storms and all of the damage coming

from these two major hurricanes that could have impacts on where

people vote, how they vote, when they vote. That's not an insignificant story. There's the

react, there's also how good is the federal government response.

Is there a perception that the response is front and center or not?
