the anchor. He was the boat. He spent more hours on live television than anyone in

history, and viewers loved his humor and identified with his Midwestern conservative

sensibility. But working in an industry hell-bent on appeasing the left and the woke,

well, that can become exhausting. And so it is. Mark Alford bolted, and nobody knew exactly why. Now we do.

Alford is running as a strong conservative for Congress in the 4th District of Missouri in a seat

being vacated as Vicki Hartsler is leaving to run for Senate. This is a great conversation.
