We're getting into Mark chapter 14.

And as we get into this chapter, I got to give you a little background because we're kind of jumping towards the end of Jesus' ministry on earth.

We are in the city of Jerusalem in this scene. As you can see, the backdrop, I had asked the audiovisual team to put a picture up on Jerusalem. We were here on the Mount of

Olive wherever, I believe Pastor Skip took this photo, and we're looking towards the Temple Mount.

And that's the area, the geography in which this chapter is taking place. And this is

Jesus' last week, this is what you would call Holy Week.

That's where we're at.

And Jesus, he's already raised Lazarus from the dead.

He's already cursed the fig tree.

He's already had the triumphant entry.

And we're at that point.

So the text begins.

It says, after two days, it was the Passover and the

feast of unleavened bread. Now, if you want to go two days prior to from where Mark has taken that

landmark, it's Mark Chapter 11. It's when Jesus had, he had cursed the fig tree on monday and on tuesday they had discovered

that the fig tree had withered and that's our landmark now it's two days later and it was the

passover now most of you i would assume you guys are you're here on wednesday night you guys are

bible students so you know what the

Passover is but for those of you that maybe are not familiar with the Passover a brief

description of the Passover is you you know that famous saying let my people go

right Moses he came to Pharaoh the children of Israel they were slaves in Egypt

for 400 years and God sent Moses to Pharaoh, the children of Israel. They were slaves in Egypt for 400 years, and God sent Moses to Pharaoh to deliver the people.
