So this will mostly be the NyQuil and the Sudafed talking. Without any consideration from Margarorie Taylor Green's feelings, President Joseph

Biden signed into law a budget for 2024. We got a budget. It took six months, but the House and Senate finally put to bed the

2024 budget and the government remains funded until the end of September

when the 2025 fiscal year begins and this nonsense starts all over again.

The $1.2 trillion spending package passed the Senate at 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Now technically the government had already been shut down since the deadline was Friday at midnight. Some thought

Senate Majority Leader Democrat Chuck Schumer couldn't get it done and would have to

wait until Monday to get all the votes as Senate Republicans slowed the process

to a crawl by introducing amendments that could never pass the 60 vote

threshold to overcome a filibuster but somehow he got it done with

74 senators in favor 24 against. Schumer had to get the House version of the bill passed because

the House had already left for its two-week Easter vacation after passing their version of the bill on Friday.

They were out.

Here's the bill, take it or leave it, we got two weeks off.

So that meant if Schumer and the Senate plan to amend any parts of what the House passed,

there would be no House of Representatives to negotiate with, or for that matter, approve a final version of the bill. It was basically

take it as it is and despite Marjorie Taylor Green's protestations, the House and the Senate, they passed the last part of the

2024 budget and Joe Biden signed into law we have six months late a 2024 budget.
