Out of Oregon, there is a case of religious freedom that is absolutely stunning.

I don't often see cases that are this clear.

There's a 34-year-old man that has filed a lawsuit claiming the owner fired him after he refused

to attend weekly Bible study.

Ryan Coleman is suing the company dolled up construction, D-A-H-L-E-D, and said,

you know what?

The owner, Joel Dowell, told him that all employees were required to partake in regular Bible study sessions led by a Christian pastor during the workday while he was on the clock.

Now, Coleman told Dal, you know what, this is illegal.

You can't do this.

Doll wouldn't budge at all.

Now, Coleman, incidentally, the man was finally in lawsuit, is half Caucasian, half Native American.

So a lot of his religious beliefs happen to be Native American.

The Portland attorney representing Coleman said, this is so illegal.

I mean, this is crazy.

Now, Dahl's attorney doesn't dispute that Dahl requires all of his employees to attend Bible study, but he says it's legal because he pays them to attend.

And Dahl has a background that's fascinating.

For years, he struggled with drugs and alcohol, served prison time for attempted second degree assault.

He's been clean and sober for seven years.
