Good Tuesday morning. I'm Adrienne Hurst and welcome to your Playbook Daily briefing.

Trump spent four years appointing more than 200 judges to the federal bench. And now it's Democrats

turn to shape the courts. As soon as today, Biden's expected to unveil his first wave of

judicial nominees.

Sources tell us to look out for 11 names, including three black women, at least two of whom will be nominated to the appeals courts. That's after Joe vowed on the campaign trail to nominate

a black woman to the Supreme Court for the first time in history if he gets the chance.

Biden's picks will give us our first glimpse of how he plans

to shape the federal judiciary, something Republicans took lots of pride in doing under Trump.

Joe came into the White House with 68 judicial vacancies, fewer than Trump had on its plate at the

start of his term, and he's under pressure to fill them quickly. There's a growing belief

among Dems that Obama was too sluggish in addressing court vacancies, and Biden's a former Senate

judiciary chair, so he's quite familiar with the battle his picks will face in a divided upper

chamber. Now, on top of that possible judicial nominee unveiling, Mary Infrastructure Eve to all who

celebrate. Biden's planning to unveil his massive $3 trillion bill on infrastructure and other

items tomorrow. And in the run-up, lawmakers are fighting tooth and nail to have their

priorities included. The fight has put one guy at the center of it all, Ron Clayne. The White House

Chief of Staff has met twice in two weeks with leading House progressives, and that isn't sitting

well with House moderates. They say the White House seems to be taking them for granted as the
