Gene and guest cohost Tim Swartz introduce James McClenon Ph.D., a sociology professor and licensed clinical social worker. He is author of these books: Deviant Science: The Case of Parapsychology, Wondrous Events: Foundations of Religious Belief, Wondrous Healing: Shamanism, Human Evolution, and the Origin of Religion, and The Entity Letters: A Sociologist on the Trail of a Supernatural Mystery. The book, The Entity Letters, details a group of individuals, the SORRAT sitter group (Society for Research on Rapport and Telekinesis) who between 1961 and 2017 were actively engaged in a variety of spiritualistic practices involving a wide range of apparent paranormal, physical phenomena that include table tipping and levitation, poltergeist phenomena, earthquake effects and rapping.

0:38.4	episode with Michael Schrad. Now, Tim, I want to get your reaction to this. He was basically
0:45.4	a good guest. Oh, yeah. But, but his credentials are talking about the fact that he's a military aerospace historian.
0:56.8	He's studied mystery aircraft and classified propulsion systems and all his other stuff that he lectures about.
1:03.8	And then I asked him to talk about that because it's half his bio and he refuses to.

1:10.6	What was up with that? Now, you've, you've talked to him before,
1:13.2	right? Mm-hmm, right. Yeah, from listening to him, you know, in prepping for this show,
1:21.7	apparently whatever capacity his job is now, he has a non-disclosure agreements. And I think that there's
1:32.5	possibility that, you know, whatever his current job is may take a dim view on his outside interest.
1:45.7	That's what I'm thinking.
1:47.3	There could be things also that, you know, because of his, you know,
1:51.1	NDA that he can't talk about.
1:53.7	But I just wonder if his bosses now are just like, you know,
1:59.6	if you're going to work with us, you know, we want you to keep your UFO and a top secret black budget aircraft interest on the download just a bit.
