Summary

Gene and guest cohost Tim Swartz present Michael Schratt, author of an illustrated book, “Dark Files: A Pictorial History of Lost Forgotten and Obscure UFO Encounters.” The book presents 61 fully illustrated UFO encounters from around the world. These cases were obtained from real world “boots on the ground” research by gaining access to university archives, multiple UFO research centers, and private collections. All cases presented contain references so that the reader can verify them on their own. In his “civilian life,” Michael is a military aerospace historian and has lectured across the country on the unique subject of “Mystery Aircraft” and classified propulsion systems buried deep within the military industrial complex. Michael devotes much of his free time researching aerospace technical documents, conducting interviews, and traveling to multiple University archives.

0:40.3	back to UFOs again. Now, I was going to ask you, Tim, before we go introduce Michael Schrat,
0:47.3	our guest this week. In terms of mediums and things like that, we have tried over 16 years of the Paracast to get somebody to come on and quote unquote demonstrate their alleged abilities.
1:03.0	And we have not been very lucky.
1:05.0	I mean, we had a couple of people on who claimed to have abilities and they tried to analyze me and maybe a co-hosts or two.
1:12.8	And I never saw anything compelling.
1:15.2	Do you know of any mediums we can bring on?
1:20.0	Boy, you know, there's Tim Beckley's friend, Maria, who is pretty good.
1:28.2	But, you know, she's more of a psychic rather than a medium who claims to, you know,

1:35.7	I don't know, you know, I mean, it's just, it's just to me it's always iffy when you
1:40.8	try to bring somebody who claims to, you know, speak to the spirit world and bring them on air and try to get them to perform on cue.
1:53.2	It just, that's one of the things about the whole world of the paranormal is that it's, and, you know, I guess you see it also and the UFOs as well
2:03.7	is that nothing ever wants to perform on cue which naturally is going to uh uh evoke suspicion
2:12.7	but yeah I mean I agree with you I mean I've seen a lot of people who claim to be, you know, number one, you know,
2:20.0	masters at speaking to the spirits.
2:22.1	But then when they're, you know, brought on to the table,
2:26.7	they just never quite seem to perform as well as they say that they can.
