I don't know the first thing about the podcast. I'm your host, Erin McGathy. This is a podcast about relationships and love and the world. This week on the podcast, I have the, um, I want, I want to call him, I called him the godfather of

Twitter on, uh, godfather of Twitter. I called him the godfather of podcast on Twitter. And I,

and I, and I was swiftly corrected because someone was like, well, he actually didn't like start

podcast, which is not what I was saying.

But I think that, uh, I still think Godfather is an appropriate title for Mark

Marin.

He's, um, his approval means a lot.

Uh, if you want someone killed in the podcast community, you come to him or rather if you

want a show to die. That's not true. He's very supportive of other people, which is another

reason why he's awesome. Mark Marin is a huge inspiration to me. I kind of talked to him about

this during the podcast. But he, I started

listening to, when I started listening to podcasts, I started listening to them pretty obsessively.

I, uh, I had a car that, that blew up essentially. And I had a two hour bus ride to and from

work every day and listen to podcasts and Mark Marin became a very

important person in my life. And then he came and did the live version of this show before it

was a podcast. And now he's on the podcast, which is really exciting.
