| 0:48.6 | responsibility for privacy policy, and he chaired the federal privacy council established by President Barack Obama and |
| 0:56.4 | was a very integral part of that administration. |
| 0:59.9 | He was the privacy lead on the president's cybersecurity national action plan. |
| 1:06.4 | And prior to his stint in the Obama administration, he was actually the president and CEO of the |
| 1:12.6 | network advertising initiative, the first chair, sorry, the first chief privacy officer |
| 1:18.6 | in the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Council to Energy and Commerce Committee in the |
| 1:24.1 | United States House of Representatives. And that's one of the highest, one of the |
| 1:27.7 | highest committees and advisors directly to the president. So he had a huge, huge role in the |
| 1:35.2 | United States, in the Obama administration. And the role of senior advisor for privacy, he was |
| 1:41.8 | actually the first one to fill that position. And since Trump has taken over, |
| 1:46.2 | this role actually hasn't been filled yet. But why this conversation is so important is for many |
| 1:53.1 | reasons. So we are going to dig into things like being a parent and understanding your child's |
| 2:00.4 | security and what type of privacy |
| 2:02.5 | you specifically have as an individual, as a business owner, as a professional. What happens with |
