This weekend saw the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon run in near perfect conditions.

And in this Marathon Talk Extra, I'm joined by Dina in New York City and David, the Abbott

World Marathon Major Social Media Manager, who has spent the last, well, at least 36 hours in the

New York City Marathon Media Tent on the

finish line in Central Park. David, why don't I come to you first?

Hey, man, how's it going? Yes, I live here now. This is my hon.

I can see the big screens in the background for, you know, listeners that don't know, where's

the media center in New York City and kind of what's the point, what's the feel for the

center?

So the media center is a literally, I can see the finish line 100 meters away from me and

is right in the park on 67th streets so right in the

city it is a big cavernous room right now the screens behind me are this had this eight big

screens that have been all day just been broadcasting different feeds you've had the four main

races going on and then four scoreboards of times and various things.

There's rows of tables and it's won't be able to see it now, but there's catering.

It's just been taken away.

So like it was my dinner.

And yeah, it's like it's so fascinating because you hear about press rooms and you see them and the buzz of them.

It's it's unmatchable really, especially in New York, which is, as far as, you know, when it comes to media,

it's the city that does it right. So, yeah, it's, it's dumb. And you're in the heartbeat, you know,

the hotbed of everything that's happening and so much to talk about in this year's TCS 2025 New York City

Marathon. It's always such a brilliant event. But this year, lots of details to dig into.
