Fox News Philadelphia reports that Bill Cosby's attorneys plan to ask that he be released

on House arrest because of concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus and the prison system.

82-year-old Cosby is serving a three to ten-year sentence for sexual assault at the Phoenix

State Correctional Institution in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

A corrections officer at the prison has tested positive for COVID-19.

Cosby's spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, told Fox News Philadelphia the concern for his client's

health was acute, quote, the reason Mr. Cosby is elderly and blind and always needs to be

escorted by support service inmates.

Those inmates could fall victim to the coronavirus and easily spread the disease to Mr. Cosby

as they wheel him around in his wheelchair.

In addition, Mr. Cosby is constantly in contact with corrections officers who could contract
