Coming up on Sorda and Scaled Daily, human remains discovered last week in Pueblo, Colorado

have been identified as those of 58 year old Maria Cuevas Garcia, whose torso was found

inside a suitcase in October 2019.

Law enforcement in Florida announced the discovery of the remains of 9-year-old Diana Alvarez,

who has been missing since May 2016.

Finally, in California, a jury found former Navy sailor Matthew Sullivan guilty of the

2014 murder of his wife Elizabeth, all this and more coming up on Sorda and Scaled Daily.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that human remains discovered near the Arkansas River last week

were identified as those of 58 year old Maria Cuevas Garcia.

Cuevas Garcia's 36 year old son Anthony Cuevas was arrested for her murder in October 2019,

but is refused to cooperate with authorities and finding her remains.

On Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at approximately 10.30 a.m.,

human remains were discovered inside a suitcase and a car wash dumpster in Pueblo.

Investigators quickly obtained surveillance video footage, which showed a suspect remove a suitcase

from the trunk of a blue colored sedan at around 6.42 a.m. that morning.

Later that day, please share the footage with the media soliciting public tips.

The following day, Anthony Cuevas was arrested at a restaurant on suspicion of first degree murder.

His wife Melanie and Cuevas was arrested the same day for criminal impersonation.
