Coming up on Sword and Scaled Daily, a 22-year-old New Jersey college student is charged with

a first-screen murder of her mother.

A North Carolina woman who was high on methamphetamines, Shutter Husband in the Eyes, and posted

a gory photo of his body to Facebook.

In California, a white supremacist gang member was sentenced to 56 years for the murder

of an Iranian American student.

Finally, a Missouri man, recently charged with the 1991 cold case murder of a teenage

boy, is also a suspect in an unsolved murder from 2005.

The New York Times reports that 22-year-old Malika Jones of Rauwe, New Jersey has been

charged with the first-degree murder of her mother, 57-year-old NL Jones.

Court documents indicate that the stabbing happened on the afternoon of February 16th,

following an argument about Malika moving out of the house and going back to college.

Malika, a student at Bernard College in New York, took an academic leave of absence last

spring and moved back into her mother's house in Rauwe where she grew up.

She reportedly planned to return to the school, and in the meantime, had been taking classes

at a nearby community college.

The mother and daughter got into an argument around 7am in the morning and a second argument

broke out in the kitchen in the afternoon.
