Summary

I have to say that I feel like every single limiting belief that you could have might be squashed with this interview. In today's episode, I'm interviewing Megan Polk from Miss P's Style and she's going to be talking about what life looks like as a teacher and a teacherpreneur in 2020. She's finishing up her 14th year of teaching and she has taught all elementary grades and is currently a literacy specialist teaching students in first through fifth grade in Houston, Texas.

She started her TpT journey in July of 2015 while she was teaching fourth grade, and she's only ever worked in Title I schools with high ESL populations. She could see that her students had huge gaps in their learning and because of that, she took an interest in literacy. She made goals to support her students grow their confidence and help them find success in reading and writing. In March 2016, she began getting serious about creating materials for her students and was blown away by the improvements in her students' achievement, their motivation, and their success.Ā

She loves creating differentiated resources tailored to her students' needs, and loves making an impact on their learning and livelihood. She took her success reports and took them to Instagram and there she has been able to connect with thousands of teachers all over the world. She truly is an inspiration, not only to teachers, but to CEO teachers everywhere.
