In 2018, Issa Matsay wrote a movie called Cam, about her own experiences working as a camgirl.

The movie was originally intended to be a documentary, but Metsay soon found that this

story would be better suited to a high-concept supernatural horror film. In 2025, Drew Hancock

wrote and directed his debut feature, Companion, a fun, playful but cautionary exploration of the way in which AI could change

romantic and sexual relationships forever and, in the process, perpetuate a dangerous kind of

misogyny.
