In 2003, an Australian filmmaker Lee Wunel collaborated with a friend from film school, James

One, to make their first short film called Saw about two men chained up in a bathroom.

One year later, this was adapted into a $1 million feature film, written by Wunel and directed by Warn.

And it went on to spark one of the most successful franchises in horror history.

Since then, James Wan and Lee Wunel collaborated on two more projects,
