She said, can I ask you a question?

And usually when it starts with a question I know it's going to go deep and fast.

Just can I ask your question? I said sure sure. What is it?

And I wasn't sure she was offended or angry or confused but she said

why does the Bible refer to God as father? Why does the Bible have to use male language to describe God?

Why, father?

And it could have been perceived in that moment

that maybe she had a feminist agenda, but I didn't really think so.

And it seemed to me that there was more behind it that there was pain behind that word.

That the idea of calling God Father brought for her,

it provoked in her so many negative emotions

of the life that she knew.

And so when she asked that question, I looked at her and I said,
