Summary

Last week, I started breaking down the case of Warren Forrest. How it’s believed his first victim was Jamie Grissim, how Barbra’s body was found in the silo and how Norma and Suzanne survived similar attacks from a man in a blue van. With Suzanne’s attack being believed right away, there was a legitimate investigation taking place. Thanks to good police work that recognized the perpetrator might be someone with key access to the parks who drove said blue van, they were given the name Warren Forrest. Today, I’ll talk about who Warren Forrest was, who his victims are and share even more excruciatingly inept details that place blame for the deaths of at least two of the victims almost squarely on police. I mean, yeah the guy is a serial killer and it’s his actions, but he could have been stopped...Many times. The And working with Carolyn is interesting, I think, because she's much more of an actual, like a real person, like a citizen, like with ethics and journalism and stuff, where I'm just like, I'll judge people

0:37.5

and I'll swear at them and I'll snap judgments and like, oh, it's bullshit. And then later,

0:43.0

I was wrong about that. Sorry. Right. You know. Thanks for a good balance. It's a good balance.

0:47.5

It does. It's a good balance. It's a really, really good balance. And I tell like silly ghost stories

0:53.0

about demonic possession, you know,

0:54.8

and then here's Carolyn with like actual victims and, you know, with people that need to be

1:00.1

respected and stuff. And so it's a little fish out of water for me sometimes. But it's great.

1:12.1

They are amazing.

1:14.3

Women-centered, focused people who helped bring this story to life.

1:19.9

Like Brandon's given showering me with praise and believe me, I love it because usually he's like, you know.

1:25.3

But really, it's all these, all these women that are just so, you know, but really it's, it's all these, all these women that are just so,

1:31.3

you know, really invested in telling true crime and, and telling stories that impact people

1:36.8

and not just like the most salacious things. Like, we talk about what happened to them in

1:43.3

detail. And it's not to glorify it,

1:45.6

but to say, like, what they went through, what they're still going through. And despite all of that,

1:52.9

you know, the two survivors, they have been at every trial. They've told this story time and time

1:58.3

again. And it's like, you know, the continuing trauma that

2:01.5

happens as a result of this. And so it's, it's just a, I'm just, we're so grateful to have such

2:07.2

amazing partners because, you know, these kinds of shows, as you know, they're super expensive

2:12.3

to produce. They're, they're, you know, in the podcasting world, you know, they're always acting
