You know, it's funny that for the last three months, Carolina basketball conversations have

basically resolved around one thing.

Who's on the roster?

Who's coming?

Who's leaving?

Who's next?

Who are they talking to?

And while everybody's been kind of focused on the present, Michael Malone and his staff have moved on to the future a little bit.

This past weekend, they were at the NBPA Top 100 camp in Rock Hill, as was inside Carolina, watching many of the best prospects in the country and kind of starting to shape out what the 2027 recruiting board is going to be.

Reports from IC and elsewhere indicate that several players already holding Carolina offers were there.

And also, Michael Malone, Sean May, and Pat Sullivan.

At the same time, the NCAA appears increasingly likely to adopt some sort of version of this five-for-five eligibility rule,

a change that could fundamentally alter not just the game, but roster building, recruiting timelines,

player development, and so forth. So tonight's not a recruiting show so much as it is a show

about the future of Carolina basketball and college basketball.
