which is really exciting.

In this episode, we are chatting with Malin Utag.

I hope I'm pronouncing that right.

Malin is a PhD student studying ayahuasca.

So her master's was in health and social psychology. And her

thesis during her master's was titled, The Long-Term Effects of Iowaska on Affect and Creative

Thinking. So her PhD is exploring that more in depth as well. She also has an interest in

5MEO DMT, which is actually how we got connected with her. I believe Joe reached out to her

on some forum. She commented about 5MEO and we were like, hey, we should really chat.

You should come on the show and share what you know about this. So in this conversation, we talk about

ayahuasca. We talk about 5MEO, DMT, some of the facilitation things that have been going on, and just some, you know,

structural criticisms about that. And really interesting, we get into the conversation a little bit

about ritual and like the ceremony behind ayahuasca and if that plays a role in the healing,

which I think is a really fascinating topic. And I'm really happy that Malin has taken that on

to investigate that to see if there is anything to the ritual aspect of ayahuasca, or could it just be the substance doing the healing?
