0:35.5

weather it's a little hot this week.

0:38.3

Yeah, we warmed up towards the end of the week. We did, man, did my fantasy football party last weekend. I'll tell you what, that was a lot of fun. Yeah. You know, I love playing fantasy football with, I mean, as busy as we are on the weekends, it's hard to keep up with all of it. Yeah, you don't have the time you used to.

0:35.3

I'm not, yeah, I'm not as into it as far to keep up with all of it. Yeah, you don't have the time you used to.

0:55.0

I'm not, yeah, I'm not as into it as far as keeping up with the stats and trades and all that.

0:59.7

I like watching football.

1:00.6

It does make it interesting to have a team with players playing, but my favorite thing is the draft.

1:06.1

I love the draft because, you know, most of the time I don't see these guys that's in my league,

1:30.2

but once a year, it's on draft day. So it's kind of like a little family reunion, you know, we all get together. And, of course, I got to do some good food and, you know, you get to help us out and putting a big spread on for the guys. And, of course, you know, libations start flowing. And it's an all-day deal really it's not it's not it's all weekend deal because we start prepping on Friday and it was on Sunday man but it was a lot of fun so let's talk

1:36.9

about the menu yeah well our league is called ribs and whiskey and that's been the this league's

1:41.9

been going on way before my time I was actually in it

1:46.0

the original it started in Mississippi State we were in college and that was back

1:51.2

before I mean fantasy football was brand new we you know we just signed up for a Yahoo

1:57.0

league and I think there was eight of us in the first league that was an old style too

2:00.8

where you didn't really play each other you just you put I remember your draft was Yahoo League and I think there was eight of us in the first league. That was the old style too where

2:00.9

you didn't really play each other. You just had stats. I remember your draft was you just kind of put the players you would like in order and it kind of did an automatic draft. Oh really? Yeah. So that's you know that's odd. That's where that came from. I've always wondered why they have a thing on there for like personal preference of players

1:58.5

and that's how it auto drafts you

2:00.4

so it's all that came from. I've always wondered why they have a thing on there for like personal preference of players. And that's how it auto drafts you. Yeah. You put your, I remember putting, you know, who I wanted on my team. Because I remember Brett Farr was still playing it. You just put Brett Farr, Brett Farr. That wasn't an option. Rodney actually stole Brett Farr for me that year. And I had him as my number one bit. Well, now it's totally different. I mean, fantasy football is big time. You know, it's a bit, there's a lot of money in it. But it's, I mean, now, you know, you're big to all your players and they match up, and it's head-to-head the way our league is, and we've got 12 teams, and, man, the player pool gets slim when you get up to there. And so it's a lot harder than it used to be to me, especially trying to keep up with it. And they take it really serious. That's why I kind of quit. Well, yeah, the guys I'll play with take it. I don't take it serious, but they do. I just like to cook barbecue.
