I'm Martha McCallum, and today I'm really glad to be joined by Robin Wise.

She is the president and CEO of Junior Achievement in Colorado.

And Robin, I'm so glad to have you with us today because I was so impressed when I heard you speak in Colorado just a few weeks back.

And you were receiving an award of which you have received many for your work over the

years.

But I'm very interested in education and in post-COVID issues that kids are

struggling with and social media and all of that. But you're involved in an organization that's

trying to help kids outside of the school environment and in the school environment. So first,

just tell us how you got involved in junior achievement. Well, I'll make it a short story. I was a

JA kid myself and my junior achievement volunteer, Mr. Peary, is the reason that I finished college.

And I had the opportunity to help junior achievement many years ago.

They found themselves in a bit of a pickle financially, and I was able to go help as the CEO

because I knew what it had done for me and my future.

And I thought this organization deserves to be bigger and better and reach more students.

So that's how I got to help.
