I never had a backup plan. It was always going to be music and I always tell people like a young artist if they're like hey I think about doing music but also I'm like really good at math and like you know I'm thinking about going to college or like if there's other stuff that you're good at and there's any doubt in your mind like maybe this is a better move than music then do that other thing. But like if you feel like all I can do is create music then you just that's when you really go all in.

days after recording this episode Ben's son sadly passed away in a tragic

car accident.

and he went solo.

And 30 years later, he is still releasing music.

He runs a production studio and he mentors musicians to help them navigate behind

the scenes of their music industry.
