Friends, welcome to our summer series where we are talking about hot topics that might be

super awkward to talk about or maybe even listen. So I'm so proud of you're here. I'm so excited

that you clicked play. And today's conversation is just for you.

So not necessarily like a hot, awkward topic, but this is a spicy topic in my opinion because it's so

dang hard to do. And no one's talking about how hard it is to do in our life, which is making

friends as an adult. So if you're like me, you grew up in an incredible neighborhood, maybe with friends

right next door that you could call and hang out with after school, after your homework. And then

you move into high school where, yes, you make those own friends, but they're still convenient,

right? Like you still share classes with them. You might share athletic activities with them,

like extracurricular activities,

whatever it is. And then you move into college. And college is a whole new thing, right? Because you meet people that are outside of your town, might be just culturally different than you,

might look different than you, believe something different than you. But I'd say it's still

technically convenient because you share a campus. Or maybe you share a dorm floor, whatever.

But then you get kicked out into the big, wide world.

And maybe you took a new job or maybe you moved.
