A little segment I've put together where I can share just a bit more of what I

really think about today's news and political crazy. So sit back, relax,

enjoy me for a few sips of sanity and make mine a double. Hey everybody, thank

you for taking a moment to have a little side track with me on this new venture

which we affectionately entitled Make Mine a Double with Michael Still. The idea is to sort of give a

sort of inside a little bit closer to the ground, a little raw on the nerve kind of

conversation around some of the issues that are facing the country and facing our

communities today. And so I thought it would be fun, a little bit cathartic as well as

engaging to sort of peel back a little bit more on that onion. Yeah, it'll probably make us cry.

But nonetheless, I have a better understanding of some of the things that are going on. And

to share with you what I really think about stuff, which of course as you know, I have no problem

doing. But this exercise will be a little bit different and I'm really glad you could join

me for this first conversation or rather monologue about some of the things that are a little bit

pressing up against my nerves right now. You know, it's interesting that a lot of politicians

and politics is about what my mom used to say and still does to me about showing your ass.

And one of the hardest things to do in politics, quite honestly, believe it or not, is to stand out.

And that sounds counterintuitive. Sure, you can go off on an issue and say something,

you know, Jack led crazy as we've seen coming out of Marjorie Taylor Greene's mouth, for example,

or even do something inherently stupid that will generate attention like, oh, I don't know,

burning books and banning CRT and claiming that you know, this is the place where woke comes to die.

That kind of level bullshit. Anyone can do that. And that's easy, it's performative. It means
