Throughout the 2024 presidential campaign, Donald promised to boost American businesses,

but he was lying. Shock.

Instead, Donald's policies are dragging American companies down so much so that a number of them

are taking him to court. NBC News reports that Costco has filed a lawsuit against the Trump regime.

They're asking the U.S. Court of International Trade to rule that tariffs Donald imposed using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act are illegal.

They're also requesting refunds for all the money they've paid because of those tariffs.

This comes as the Supreme Court is about to review the legality of Donald's tariff agenda,

which has been a disaster since the very beginning.

On ABC News, Elizabeth Schultz recently provided some additional insight into Costco's lawsuit.

Costco is one of several retailers that has done this.

Retailers are saying that the president does not have the authority to impose these tariffs,

that it's Congress's job to put them in the first place. We don't know in this filing,

Diane, exactly how much Costco has paid in tariffs, but you would imagine it's a pretty significant

amount if they're put our suit making, they're su amount if they're putting this lawsuit out there.

We do know that the government has collected at least $90 billion in tariff revenues under this act so far this year.

And that's money that it would need to go back to companies, essentially try to figure out how to get that money back to companies that have paid them.

The money is still being collected at this point. and Costco did say in this filing that is expected to make a payment to Customs and Border Protection later this month.

Okay, so the federal government has allegedly taken in $90 billion as the direct results of the tariffs that Donald has imposed on essentially

every single one of our trading partners.

This has been disastrous for the economy, and I don't see any reason to believe that that

much money has been generated by the tariffs.
