he's always my co-ist, Nick, let's get into Mailbag, part two. Nick, let's get into this right away with a question from Marcus Aurelius, the, I just know him from The Gladiator.

He says, you guys talk a lot about Cubies busting in the first round.

And there are plenty of examples.

How much of this do you attribute to coaching in the situation?

I feel like if the right people are surrounded with legitimate talent, it will work.

If the traits you guys covet are there.

I trust our GM to scout the right one and put the head coach to groom him.

And I think Joe Shane and Brian Dable need a chance to develop their guy at the quarterback

position. Marcus Zerilius is this guy's name, but Marcus Aurelius, great Roman emperor.

I agree. This is something we covered on Mailbag part one as well. You find your guy.

And if you have a good coaching staff in place, they can maximize said guy. But if that guy doesn't have it, then I think that can also be a huge issue. So it's just part of the puzzle for me. It's part of the pie. Yeah. I think Nick nailed the issue I have here. And this is the point. And what I've mentioned a lot in the past, which is, unfortunately,

there are a handful, two handfuls of human beings on planet Earth who can play the

quarterback position successfully and keep a pass game in rhythm consistently. And so it doesn't

just like, that's the problem I have with the whole situation. It's like, yes, I trust these guys,

but how do I know that they're going to have their opportunity? That's the problem I have with the whole situation. It's like, yes, I trust these guys.

But how do I know that they're going to have their opportunity to get the traits that they covet to actually make this work? Because that's the first factor.

And that's a big, big reason here why I wanted them to have this first or second pick, Nick, is I do think that those two guys up

top have those traits, but they won't have that pick now, either of those picks. So now it's a question of, and this is why, you know, some people didn't want them to win the games for all you were like, how could you not want the Giants to win these past two games? Well, it's like, maybe this is a reason. And there's a few guys on earth who have the traits that can actually do this thing.

They had an opportunity.

Now they don't.

And it's like they don't get it this year.
