This is a message from Jamie, some advice. Hi Gabe, just listen to your most recent episode and I'm so sorry you're in such a tough spot.

This is about the truth about my finances episode, which by the way you guys have been so lovely about.

One thing that came to my mind is have you thought about finding a lawyer who could help you pro bono?

I had a lawyer helped me pro bono a couple years ago. He threatened to sue my former place of employment so they would change the healthcare plan to cover my top surgery.

I felt like he was doing me a huge favor until I learned that lawyers are required to do a certain amount of pro bono work every year.

That might change state-to-state. I'm up in Washington, but something to potentially look into since these legal fees are draining you so much.

Okay, I just looked this up and it's not required but strongly encouraged L.O.L. sorry.

My advice is to look for someone or some ones who specialize in this kind of law and reach out to them.

The lawyer I worked with had done this kind of case so many times before it seemed like a breeze for him.
