Let's turn into your Bibles to Matthew chapter one.

It can be so easy this time of year, and any time of year, but specifically this time of year,

when we have so much to do, we have presents, we need to buy people who are now realizing that we forgot about.

And now it's like, oh my gosh, I didn't budget that in.

How do I, what I'm going to make some of these things for these people that I forgot about?

Or are they okay to have left forgotten?

Is this like you're weighing like, okay, what's worth like spending out of my budget or giving to people who,

I don't know, or am I calm enough this season? Am I like zen, like doing okay? Am I prepared enough?

Am I just the right amount of stressed? We have so much going on.

And personally speaking, can so easily make that the focus of this season, of all the things

that are going on.

And today, I want to remind us, remind myself, bring our focus back to Jesus,

and what it means to magnify the Lord in our soul, in our everyday life.

And maybe a couple months back, a month ago, we were in a series called Tangled,

where we were learning about the women highlighted in Jesus' family tree.

And if you didn't get a chance to listen to that series,

you need to go back and listen to it because it is overwhelmingly wonderful.

As we look back into Jesus' family tree

and we see how messed up it was,

how disappointing it was.

And it brought me so much hope because we can be in a dysfunctional family.

We can have our own dysfunction.
