This is the story of some beans.

Beans that a boy named Leo desperately wanted to have.

For these beans were no ordinary beans.

These were magical beans. And I'm not talking about the

magical kind of beans you probably think I'm talking about. These were a different kind of bean.

Leo lived with his mother on a farm just outside of a small village. Years ago, his mother had

bought the farm on a whim. She had thought farm life was the life for them.

But oh, how wrong she had been. So very, very wrong. Leo and his mother were terrible farmers,

quite possibly the worst. Neither of them ever wanted to wake up early. They were always complaining

about how many chores they had, and their cows, they later discovered, were actually donkeys.

Hey, Mom, so I just finished two out of the 35 chores I was supposed to do today, but that's good enough, right?

I might take the rest of the day off to do some shopping in the village. I want to see if I can buy a machine that can do all of our work for us.

Leo's mother love the idea of a do-all- work for you machine, if such a thing even existed, but machines like that sounded like they would cost a lot of money, which was exactly

the problem.

Leo, dear, I'm not sure if you've noticed this, but we kind of stink at this whole farming
