Summary

Catherine, David and Matt reconvene for the first time since Indian Wells to chat about everything which has happened in the last week, from playing tennis with Pam Shriver, going to Las Vegas to see Taylor Swift, and of course lots of great matches in Miami. We cover the form of Indian Wells champions Carlos Alcaraz and Elena Rybakina, dispiriting losses for Casper Ruud and Matteo Berrettini, another bad day for Coco Gauff’s forehand, Barbora Krejcikova’s desire to be part of a WTA Big 4, and much more, including a change of management agency for Andy Murray.

Hello and welcome folks to the tennis podcast, brought to you in association with on location,

0:27.6

the Premium Hospitality and Experience Provider. That brought the three of us, myself, David and Matt,

0:34.7

all the way out to Indian Wells on a trip of a lifetime that is for David and Matt already a

0:40.8

distant memory for me. Well, I'm still on that trip of a lifetime. You find me in a Miami hotel room

0:49.3

since Indian Wells I have been to Palm Springs and Las Vegas and yeah, that's the end of the

0:57.2

list just feels like more at this stage. Where in the world do we find you, David? Hello.

1:03.7

Solid Hall, Catherine. I've just felt very much like shouting, check you out with your list of places.

1:11.0

But yeah, I went to Frankfurt, lost my luggage, arrived back in Birmingham, was reunited a day later

1:18.5

with my luggage and now I'm sitting in a little office in Solid Hall with the blinds drawn because

1:26.6

it's not very nice outside. Matt Roberts, where in the world do we find you?

1:33.6

You find me in Richmond in the UK, not in Virginia like many of our listeners, but I have also been

1:42.0

to Palm Springs and Las Vegas since Indian Wells and yeah, it's very nice to see you both.

1:50.0

The last time I saw you both involved slightly weird transport situations, I've just realised.

1:57.2

It did. It wasn't the goodbye after an epic to it. It wasn't the goodbye that the trip

2:04.2

deserved. I don't think was it? No, because I was second by to Catherine at Vegas Airport.

2:15.2

Well, she was going for a bus for one terminal and I was going for a bus for another and we

2:19.8

had a sort of a weird hug where I was still holding my suitcase and my golf bag and Catherine

2:26.8

sprinted off to make a… I just sort of assaulted Matt. I was the only participant in the hug

2:33.9

and then I sprinted away. And with David, we say goodbye at Palm Springs Airport in the middle of a

2:40.4

big… well, how do we describe it? Who har, car mix up.
