That's probably more of a reason why more people should hunt is just that it gets you out and makes you see these things.

You know, we don't get up and look at the sunrise every morning.

I mean we're lucky to live in a really pretty place and we still don't do that.

That is like the best feeling ever.

Because most of us think like, I don't know if I'm going to get anything, but when all the pieces come together, it is amazing.

Yeah, and you know, I think Bear Spray is more accessible to the normal person, but it is like anything to you need to practice with

that because its effectiveness also will increase with your practice.

Oh yeah we could hear the you know the small ephemeral streams. We're just gushing and we could hear the big boulders getting rolled down.

This is Hal Herring and I'm back in Montana today and I am with a friend of ours, Maggie Carr, who has dropstone outfitting and Maggie goes way back in the Shoto Montana area, 100 years or so.

And I've been trying to connect with her

to talk about kind of a new model of outfitting.

And for months now, but the problem is that she's been doing the job and

so very seldom in out of the woods but Maggie would you can you introduce

yourself in any way better than that?

That was a pretty good introduction.

Hi, I'm Maggie, and I co-owned Dropstone Outfitting with a gal named Eve Bardwell.

And our main stick is that we do stock supported hiking trips in the Bob Marshall

Wilderness, which is a little bit different than most folks that have outfitting businesses there.

They do mostly horse trips, so we cater more to hikers, and we also do a little bit of hunting activities which is a new element of our business.

Right, but you've been working some as a hunting guide for Mills outfit, right?
