French President Emmanuel McCrome made the surprise decision to dissolve the National Assembly and call

for snap legislative elections.

Think midterm elections, if you will, sort of a, like we do here, not a presidential election, but putting his party or his movement on the

ballot that's for sure and it follows his parties shellacking in the EU elections at

the hands of the far right on June 9th. Now the campaign is unfolding at breakneck speed ahead of the two round elections in late

June and early July all before the Paris Olympics, mind you.

And ministers within Macron's own party are expressing concern over the President's

High-risk gamble.

And even if McCrone himself isn't going anywhere until 2027, a majority showing for the national

rally across the country's legislative seats, national rally being the conservative movement

out there, could force the president to split the executive power with a far-right prime minister

and a cabinet that gets put together by that prime minister.
