Summary
This is a bit of a different episode. I'm chatting about weight loss drugs, my journey with macro counting and how we can pursue health as Christian women. I'm also sharing an episode I recorded with my macro coach Kelly Mozdy where I shared my story on her podcast.

| 0:00.0 | Well, hello and welcome back to Kindled. So today is going to be a little bit of a different episode, |
| 0:05.2 | different content than you're used to on here. But I hope to be able to apply some biblical |
| 0:11.4 | truth to the topic of our health and battling weight gain as moms, seeking to be good stewards |
| 0:19.3 | of the bodies that God has given us. |
| 0:21.9 | And so I'm doing this episode because it's something that's very real and present in my life currently, |
| 0:29.2 | having had our fourth baby almost seven months ago, actually, in a couple days. |
| 0:33.3 | She'll be seven months old, which is just totally wild, and I can't believe that. |
| 0:37.4 | But it's something that I've, you know, that's come back up as I'm in a spot in a season where I can think about that. I'm getting, you know, a full night's sleep. She's starting to introduce solids. It's just that time where I'm like, okay, like I need to figure, figure it out, figure out what I'm doing |
| 0:54.8 | here. How am I eating? How do I want to eat? What is best for me? How do I get my body healthy |

| 1:17.5 | though. And so it wasn't able to really get a ton of traction with it in, in the past. Um, |
| 1:22.3 | but I knew that it seemed like a sustainable way for me personally to try to lose weight because |
| 1:27.1 | it doesn't have any |
| 1:28.3 | restrictive food lists. And if you're anything like me, those lists, you love them and you hate |
| 1:34.3 | them, right? Like we want the list. We want someone to tell us what we can and can't have. The problem is |
| 1:39.9 | it's not sustainable. And so we do it for a while. We feel like, yes, this is so great. I can, |
| 1:44.9 | I can follow this plan. But then you inevitably fall off the wagon because a party happens or a |
| 1:50.6 | birthday or you have a vacation or you're traveling for a kid's sport or something goes on and you |
| 1:56.7 | make a few decisions that don't go in line with the plan, and suddenly you're just |
| 2:01.3 | like totally off the wagon, kind of unhinged, kind of like off the reservation, like, life's too short to be that miserable. I'm just going to go and, you know, whatever. I don't, I don't care about it. It's fine. If you're anything like me, these are all things I've said to myself. Okay. So I don't know if anyone can relate, but that's how I am.
