So I thought I was going to do a full show today, full of many different stories. Then I got stuck on this one

dumb story that's actually a few stories combined. I'd like to think that if we thought about

things dumb would find no purchase but we're not the only ones you

and me and dumb tends to find a way.

We shouldn't have a wide array of stories, though today we recount what Philip Elmer

DeWitt referred to as the Boxing Day bloodletting.

And it goes a little something like this. Holy crapping crap what a stupid couple of days for Apple News.

On the 26th of December, Boxing Day for folks in the UK and Canada and maybe other places what do I know.

Apple shares got beaten about the head and shoulders because of something an unknown

someone supposedly said to someone else of whom you've never heard.

All of that was put out by a site that seems sort of questionable,

then picked up by every reputable site out there

because did I mention day after Christmas?

Taiwan's Economic Daily seems to have been the source of the trouble, though Digitimes ran

a similar piece the Friday before Christmas, according to a piece from Mac rumors because

you know I am not reading digit times

unless I absolutely have to. Quoting Mac rumors sources in the semiconductor
