magazine, available in iOS Newsstand now. Some of the big, bad, real world news of the past few weeks has crossed over into the Apple sphere.

Apple Insider says protesters on Friday brought business to a halt at Apple's Fifth Avenue store in New York City.

They were calling attention to the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, Eric Garner

in Staten Island, New York, and countless other men of color across the country who have died at the hands of police.

The report says some protesters held signs that read, I Can't Breathe in reference to Eric Garner.

A video of Garner being choked to death by police includes Garner's last words,

I can't breathe being repeated several times before he lost consciousness and ultimately his life.

The piece goes on to say others in the Apple store lay down on the ground to symbolize

the death of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old African-American man who was fatally shot during a run-in with

Ferguson Missouri police officer Darren Wilson.

While the deaths of the two men are tragic, to say that it's only their deaths

that are being protested is not completely
