we've not said a lot here about the DRM class action lawsuit Apple is currently

facing because it is so 2006. Seriously, the period of time covered by the suit runs from the 12th of September 2006 through the 31st of March 2009.

Things definitely happened, but they happened such a long time ago.

One of the lead witnesses in the case has been dead for three years,

and Apple stopped employing DRM for tracks sold through iTunes

two and a half years before he died. It seemed that the two pieces of

actual news that might come from this case were the fact that the case was

actually happening reported here earlier this week and whatever the verdict

ends up being when the verdict is handed down. But lo and behold there is a third

bit of news that may take this case from the realm of the perplexing to outright absurd.

This case may have no plaintiff.

Apple Insider says new filings from attorneys representing the

Cupertino company are thinking the case is completely classless.

As in there may be no class in the class action suit.

Quoting the report, a letter from Apple to presiding Judge Yvonne Gonzalez

Rogers notes both plaintiffs named in the case have not produced
