I said here yesterday that it seemed likely that at least sections of Wall Street

would lose their minds over iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus demand on Monday.

That's because as of Sunday night, Monday morning here in the States, one could pre-order

an iPhone 6S and still get it on launch day the 25th of September.

What I did not count on was Apple making noise ahead of the phone's actual physical release.

But Apple did just that.

Apple Insider says the Cupertino Company issued a statement to CNBC, CNB saying,

Customer response to iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus has been extremely positive and pre-orders this weekend were very strong

around the world. We are on pace to beat last year's 10 million unit first weekend record

when the new iPhones go on sale September 25th. Now there may be a bit of

interesting shuffling going on to make that record beatable but who can blame

Apple? It's all about optics.

Quoting Apple insider again, Apple is launching iPhone 6S and 6S plus in 12 countries,

including Australia, China, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico,
