A long time ago I had this borderline utopian fantasy that one day Apple would decide

it had made enough money and start selling its wares at prices that simply could not be beaten.

They did not do that on Tuesday, but man are they getting competitive slash aggressive on price. We'll go in the same order Apple went, starting with its next two services,

Apple Arcade and Apple TV Plus.

For Apple Arcade, the assembled were treated to a demo of an updated version of the video game Frogger.

I saw some snarky article about how Apple will have to do better than that if they want Apple Arcade to be a hit, but I'm guessing that what that person

really wanted was to be snarky. First, they showed off more than just the Froggar reboot, and second, both on stage and in its Apple Arcade press release,

Apple said the service will feature a catalogue of over 100 new exclusive games, all playable across iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV.

They can all be shared on a family account and here's the showstopper all for $4.99 per month for the whole family after a one month

free trial for the whole family. Apple Arcade launches in over 150 countries in just over a week.

It goes live on Thursday the 19th of September for iOS 13, which also hits on the 19th.

The service goes live on the 30th of September

on TVOS 13 and iPad OS,

which also goes live on the 30th, and October on Maco-S Catalina so I guess we know when that's going
