Apple and Qualcomm got in the ring last week.

Apple Insider says the two companies met in a San Diego federal court last Friday for an initial hearing.

With his company accused of antitrust violations and breach of contract, a lawyer for Qualcomm was quoted as saying

we believe we are standing in a boxing ring with our gloves up with the biggest boxer in the world punching away at us.

I'm a terrible person by the way.

I assume that that lawyer was a he,

not because lawyers have to be men,

but because the boxing analogy seems kind of male.

Not that there aren't female boxers.

Mohammed Ali's daughter was a boxer.

She's still alive. She just retired from boxing.

Of course, none of this has anything to do with Apple v. Qualcomm, but really, isn't it more interesting?

Friday's hearing was less like a boxing match and more like a tag team wrestling event if you ask me and that there were more than two fighters

According to the peace in addition to lawyers for Apple and, another legal team was present on behalf of

Apple Manufacturers, FoxCon, Pegatron, Wistran, and Compel, from which Qualcomm is trying to secure
