focus EY E.E. magazine, Talkin' over to the top TV service is back in a big way this week and it really is interesting.

The New York Post says the Secret Sauce Apple wants to flavor its TV service is network programming.

Networks, as in the channels you used to be able to get for free and fairly easily with a pair of rabbit ears

and can still get for free and fairly easily with a good digital antenna.

For months the word has been that what Apple wants from the start is not generic network

level channels for the four major networks in the states, those being ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC.

Rather, it's looking for local programming from the affiliates of those networks.

Now, almost since that idea was floated, Michael Plon and I have talked on I chart radio about how difficult

it would be for Apple to work those deals.

That's because the networks don't own most of the stations that broadcast their content, hence the word affiliate.

But Apple has two things going for it.

Ideas and wait.

According to the post, Apple's discussions with ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox initially
