Deirdre O'Brien Apple Senior VP Retail Plus People posted a letter on Apple site on Sunday

addressed to Apple customers.

With close to 100 stores reopened around the world, the V people shared what factors go into deciding

whether and when to open a store and what that looks like at the store level once

it happens. First this is backed by having done it before.

Apple has reopened its 40-something stores in Greater China.

O'Brien says Apple has continued to refine and expand its in-store health and safety measures which have proven effective

in places like Greater China where Apple stores have been safely open for months.

So experience plus data including local cases near and long-term trends and

guidance from national and local health officials help decide what stores to reopen and when.

Now an answer I couldn't get last week, Apple will be doing temperature checks at the door.
