I started the week saying that the most important news would probably remain

Apple's move to reopen select stores across the US. Sort of fitting that Monday

starts with the most important news while Friday kicks off with news most interesting.

The Wall Street Journal says Apple has acquired the virtual reality streaming video service next VR as is its way

Apple has confirmed the purchase with its usual side of none of your business

say the response with me Apple by smaller technology companies from time to time and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans

That does of course leave people the guess

The journal says the acquisition is a signal of the tech giant's continued ambitions in virtual

and augmented reality technologies.

That was certainly my first thought, though a piece from Venture Beat had another idea.

Pointing out that Next VR is headquartered just an hour away from Hollywood and pointing to the company's offerings of 360 degree video access to

select concerts and sporting events, including NBA games,
